Dear Friends, Kanchan is right. It is only after persistant efforts that disability is included as a question in national census. India's census effort is a mammoth effort and perhaps there are no near parralels to it. It is said that China's census is at best an estimate and not a survey as in India. Hence, it will take some time before the survey results come out in all its dimensions. What is now available is only the quick results, which contain only the broadest information. My friends in the list may notice that the quick results does not contain data on matters of such wider interest likeurban-rural population, work participation, incomewise classification etc. Given the advancement made in computational technologies, we will get the required data on disability in near future.
