If you use ms word 2003, you will find it under insert menu, references submenu. It's a multipage dialogue box. Press ctrl+tab for table of contents. Here you will find the various options available. If you accept all the default options, you will have a table of contents with both hyperlinks and page numbers based on the headings. Just make sure your headings are well organised.

Subject: [AI] creating table of contents with hyperlinks in ms word 2003

Hello,
I have recently scanned one of my course study material. In this book,
there are several topics numbering from 1.1 to 1.10 corresponding to
their respective headings. Similarly, for unit 2, there are topics
from 2.1 to 2.12 aranged respectively. Now, I would like to make the
tables of contents at the beginning of my file with hyperlinks to
these topics mentioned above. In this regard, I would like to know
about the detailed steps to create:
table of contents along with serial no., name of the topic, page no.
with hyperlinks. so could anyone please explain me the steps to
perform this operation with detailed steps along with explaination to
my particular situation?

I would like to know the steps in ms word 2003.

Your kind cooperation in this regard would be highly oblig
