Hi friend,
The L. I. C. considers us more vulnerable for accidents. on the basis of the same logic they charge extra premium. However in contrast to this i have herd only an incident or two where a blind person was severely injured by a vehicle hit. on the other hand sighted rash drivers are more vulnerable to the accidents. the companies other than the L. I. C. refuse their service for visually challenged with no logic behind it and some times they even put before some logics which themselves are illogical. in fact they don't wish to work beyond what has been assigned to them.
don't know when they will stop acting like key driven toys!

Hi,
I do not see any logic behind paying aditional charges to Insurance companies to get any policy. Most of insurance companies denies to give insurance policy to vi person. I have asked so many companies to explain the simple logic behind their refusal but did not get any convincing answer. Has anybody put up RTI against this to public sector insurance companies?

regards,
Anand

Hi Muhammad,
I disclosed my visual impairment and I am paying extra premium for "Endowment" policy of the l. i. c. I am totally sightless so my disability is apparent so there was no question of not disclosing the same. I think we must never hide our disability or impairment whatever it may be. Don't know about other companies but L. I. C. does not deny the service on the ground of visual impairment or other disabilities but charges extra premium which is quite reasonable.

Subject: [AI] want to take life insurance term plan

pls guide on this.

Looking for 1 cr cover for minimum 20 years.

Specially I am interested in knowing how the premium is charged to visually
impared applicants.

I assume that if we disclose our disability, the cover may result in higher
premium or no life insurance cover at all.

Kindly throw some light on this.
