Before I go further, let me tell you that any online purchase you make has a risk of buying a defective or a damaged product. To minimise the probability of an undesirable or an unsatisfactory deal on Ebay, you may need to: - Make yourself aware of buyer protection policies on Ebay and familiarise yourself with Ebay Resolution center. As much as possible, use Paisapay to transact on Ebay because paisapay does not credit money to the seller's account unless you indicate that you have received the product. When the delivery guy shows up to your doorstep with the product, open the product and thoroughly examine the product carefully and then sign the delivery sheet. If you find any physical damage, do not accept the consignment; ask the delivery guy to take it back and then notify the seller immediately and then request for a refund on Paisa Pay which will be reversed back to the mode of your payment. - Check the reputation of the seller. How big an impact might the seller have if you as a buyer left a negative feedback after you complete the transaction? Check if the seller has a shop on Ebay, this means the seller is a serious business minded person who hopefully wants to improve his position on ebay so he is less likely to cheat. And last but not the least, do your homework properly - know what you are buying, and carefully read through whatever information you can find on the listing before you decide to buy or bid.
