Hello,
Actually, I was making the payment to ccavenue who is an E-Commerce
Service Provider, authorized as a Master Merchant, by Indian financial
institutions, to appoint Sub Merchants, to accept and validateInternet
payments via Credit Card, and Net banking facilities from the Sub
Merchant's customers (our) in real-time. They provide secure link
between ourwebsite, various Credit Card issuing institutions,
acquiring Banks and the payment gateway providers. At present,
CCAvenue offers these payment
services, exclusively for websites owned by Indian entities only.

I was making the payment for my exam fees to scdl where they have
appointed ccavaenue to collect the payment on behalf of its customers.
So after my failed transaction, I have lodged the ticket even with
them wich is under process. But looking at their help section, I came
to know that for added security they do not provide the reason for the
failed remarks i.e. for transaction declined remarks. They advise me
to contact my card company wich is SBI and here my real problem arise.

On contacting my bank, they ask me to provide the transaction id wich
is not provided by CCAVENUE and only I could see the details on the
final screen that your transaction has been declined.

Secondly, while attempting to report this issue with SBI customer
care, they asks me to provide 16 digit complaint number wich really I
don’t know where to get from as I get only 7 digit ticket number after
raising the ticket online. On asking about the method to obtain the 16
digit customer care, they are unable to direct me to any method of
obtaining 16 digit complaint id and while insisting them to guide me
as to obtain the same they seems to hang up my phone line. So I am
very confused.
So I strongly feel to take up this issue with SBI authorities as all
of you have guided me lot on the same. So I do request you to let me
know the way of obtaining this 16 digit complaint id wich is out of my
understanding and customer care of SBI has only adopted the way of
making follow up of any complaint wich is “of 16 digits”.

Sorry for bothering you once again.
Thanks,
