Coincidentally, AP has been the state that has produced visually
challenged engineers in the recent past. I know totally blind people
as well as those with print impairment that have done/are doing
engineering courses in Andhra Pradesh. I'm also against setting up
exclusive educational institutions in higher education. Instead,
efforts can be put in to promote science and maths learning and
computer knowledge at the school and intermediate level. If we don't
improve the education system at the basic level and set up exclusive
institutions/courses at higher level, then we may have to set up I T
companies exclusively for visually challenged.
