Hi, to learn java, you must install one of the java sdk version and java access bridge, and add appropriate values to windows environment variables. To write a program in java, you only need windows notepad. Use windows command prompt to compile your program. When you are dealing with command prompt, NVDA provides more flexibility than jaws. According to my opinion, Thinking in java by *Bruce Eckel* is the best book available for beginners. In most advanced level, you can use accessible integrated development environments like java eclipse. If you need any help on this matter, please contact me off-list.
