Dear Vamshi,
I don't know any specific tutorials for Java with screen readers, however
any normal tutorials will do. Java is being little complex language, your
friend may require some initial guidance in terms of programming constructs.
So, before going to Java your friend should know:
1. What is computer in depth. Like, what is an OS?, how computer works? And
input / output processes etc.
2. What is language?, why language?
3. What is a computer programme? And how it works?
4. What is object oriented programming?
After knowing above mentioned things, your friend can follow below
tutorials.

Screen reader is no worry. Initially use notepad or any good text editor
like Edit+ to write code. Use command prompt to compile and execute the
programmes. Later an IDE like Eclipse can be used for everything like to
write code, compile and execute etc.
Kind Regards,
Nitin
