Dear Friends,
I am sharing my painful experience in my office. My letter has been
treated as indiscipline, misbehavior and got threatening firing from the
job. To bring
to your knowledge, I am pasting the letter below.
To,
Chief Justice,
Court of Small Causes Bangalore
From,
Raghavendra Janivar,
(SDA),
Court of Small Causes Bangalore
Date: 18-10-2013
Subject: Providing Assistive Technology
Respected Sir,
This is to inform you that since July 2012, I have been working as
Second Divisional Assistance in the Court of Small Causes. I have waited
more than one
year for the work solution. However I was sent for four months basic
computer training by the department. So far I haven’t been provided any
assistive
technology to work in the office. I kindly request the honourable court
to arrange a computer with screen reading software to give my better
service to
the department.
For your kind information, I would like to draw your attention towards
(THE RIGHTS OF PERSONS WITH DISABILITY BILL, 2011) which strongly
supports the EQUAL
OPPORTUNITY, PROTECTION OF RIGHTS AND FULL PARTICIPATION of the disabled
people.
The section 56 of the PWD Act strongly recommends non-discrimination in
employment and providing all accessibility at the workplace.
I hope the Honourable court will fulfill all the requirements very soon
and make me work.
Thanking You,
Yours sincerely
Raghavendra Janivar
If this is the situation of persons who are working in the judiciary
department, what about others?

With best Regards
Raghu
