Just a quick question: what is the progress on the standardization of talking ATMs? I remember that IBA had adopted certain standards. But are all the banks following the same or its a free will situation?
Because in my office building we have 2 ATMs, one by HDFC which is partially voicing machine and other from Ratnakar Bank which is a fully functioning talking ATM. The current directive is indeed a great progress in the matter, but I wish RBI could have stressed that IBA standards should be adopted by all banks so that there are no partially talking ATMs being installed just to comply with the directive.
