Hi there, you have separate provision for milk and water boiling. Just memorise the switches, I use it with those clicking sounds it make. . Of course, rice, veggies, dal and all can be prepared using it, provided we use a flat bottom vessels. only for boiling milk for the first time, I find it difficult to recognize, so, to avoid it, get a milk boiler with flat bottom.
