It is a matter of satisfaction that the sector is giving employment to VI as statutorily mandated. However, we need to go well beyond this, though this itself is fraught with challenges. Going beyond entails procuring meaningful work, job satisfaction, a fully accessible and enabling work environment, non discrimination in all stages and aspects of career including but not limited to training, promotion etc., parity with non disabled staff taking cognizance of special requirements arising out of visual challenges at the same time, and many more such things. The situation in law and on the ground is far from satisfactory. So, we have decided to strive for our betterment and the betterment of the sector and build a momentous platform for the purpose. The association is the fruit of much hard work put in by our founders for last couple of years. However, the association cannot yield fruit without your active cooperation. I, as the first president, and as a fellow visually impaired bank employee, call upon all of you, to associate with the association in thought word and deed! Become the member and witness the change!
