Once it is made compulsory, all visually impaired aspirants will become computer literate. Until late 1990's SSC was conducting only written exams for blind job seekers -- usually LDC's and UDC's. Since 1996 they made typing exam compulsory for all blind clerical and stenographer candidates. Since the year 2004, they migrated to computers. Recruiting agencies for banks should learn from SSC. They don't even demand computer skills from visually impaired bank employees. Otherwise there is no reason why a blind person without basic knowledge of computers and banking can become an PO in bank. By discouraging introduction of computers and Braille in higher exams, -- both technical and nontechnical, we are making mockery of ourself.
