Subject: About Thread or parallel algorithm.
Hi,
Windows NT and Linux can be install on PC with two processors now.
I have a question. For example, if I write a FORTRAN or C code as
do i=1,10000
x=float(i-1)/float(i)
write(*,*) x,sin(x)
enddo
stop
end
which hasnot any control on threads, dos it execute on one processor
or two at the same time after it has been compiled by normal compiler
like FORTRAN POWERSTATIN on NT or G77 on LINUX?
If I want it to execute on two processors at the same time, how
do I divided it to different threads? Would you please give me some
controlling code?
If there isnnot any method to control thread, maybe I have to use
parallel algorithm. Have there any parallel algorithm compiler on
PC with NT or LINUX? Where can I download them?
BEST AND Thanks.

How do I upload my web files to XOOM?
We recommend you use an FTP client such as WS_FTP. We have
WS_FTP available for free downloading in our helpcenter web tools

Warning message to accmailers. This is NOT a proper question for this
list. I only approved it to make a point. Any others like this go
directly to dev/null without a note from me.
Most of the off-topics and HTML encoded messages get a reply from me to
remove the HTML and re-submit the question or to stay on-topic.

I tried AltaVista search on "Delphi tutorial" and received so many hits
that I'm not posting them here. I suggest you do the same and pick and
choose among them to find one that suits your needs. I don't have any
recommendations.
I have a FAQ about using AltaVista by E-mail methods:
You can get the file by anonymous FTP at:
get ftp.netcom.com/pub/gb/gboyd/wsalta.faq
Or by Agora, Getweb, or W3mail

gboyd>nslookup -q=soa KIROVOGRAD.UA
Server: localhost
Address: 127.0.0.1
Non-authoritative answer:
KIROVOGRAD.UA
origin = baser.frk.KIROVOGRAD.UA
mail addr = hostmaster.baser.frk.KIROVOGRAD.UA
serial = 1999022300
refresh = 86400 (1 day)
retry = 14400 (4 hours)
expire = 2592000 (30 days)
minimum ttl = 345600 (4 days)
Authoritative answers can be found from:
KIROVOGRAD.UA nameserver = ns.ua.net
KIROVOGRAD.UA nameserver = ns.spb.su
KIROVOGRAD.UA nameserver = ns.eu.net
KIROVOGRAD.UA nameserver = ns.ussr.eu.net
KIROVOGRAD.UA nameserver = baser.frk.KIROVOGRAD.UA
ns.ua.net internet address = 193.124.48.100
ns.spb.su internet address = 193.124.83.69
ns.eu.net internet address = 192.16.202.11
ns.ussr.eu.net internet address = 193.124.22.65
baser.frk.KIROVOGRAD.UA internet address = 194.183.166.3
Nothing abnormal or unusual here. The time to live and refresh rates
are typical so DNS lookups should be no problem. 4 DNS servers to
choose from is also good. Nothing stands out from the above that would
indicate DNS failures unless each of the separate DNS servers are not
getting good data from a higher level DNS.
Maybe somebody else can help out more...
