I too have had a problem getting any sort of help file from

[EMAIL PROTECTED]

I tried "help" as the subject and body and "SEND help" as
subject. It just returns URL's that have hits for the word
help.

From: Frits Westra <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
Subject: Re: Mailing List in Europe

Francesco, you can search for European mailing lists at Onelist.
Onelist hosts many thousands of European mailing lists about every
subject you can think of.

Send the following message to a www4mail server.

  TO: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
  SUBJECT: {Leave this blank}
  BODY: GET http://www.onelist.com/searchlist.cgi?searchval=subject

Replace the word "subject" by a subject of your own choice.
IMPORTANT: Use a subject word in your preferred European language.

You'll receive descriptions of the first twenty mailing lists about
the subject you're interested in.

If you want to receive details about the next twenty mailing lists
about your subject, you'll find a new search string at the bottom of
the returned document. Send this new string to a www4mail server using
the GET command, just like in the above example.

A list description will look like this:

[7]ListnameX [English] [Safe for Kids] [8]Similar lists
Hello! I'm 15 years old, and recently begun a mailing list
about all kinds of subjects. If you're interested in all kinds...

If you like the description of the mailing list and you want to
subscribe by e-mail, look for the first word on the first line. That
is the listname. In the above example, the listname is: ListnameX

To subscribe to this (fictitious) ListnameX mailing list, send a blank
e-mail message to:

  [EMAIL PROTECTED]

Once subscribed, other available e-mail commands are:

[EMAIL PROTECTED] - unsubscribe from the list.
[EMAIL PROTECTED] - switch your subscription to digest mode.
[EMAIL PROTECTED] - switch your subscription to normal mode.

In the above examples you must replace the word "ListnameX" by an existing
listname.

Hope this helps.

You know, I think a made another mistake. I thought the question was
how to get the help file at emailfetch.com, not the search@. You can't
get the help for the [EMAIL PROTECTED] It's only available via the
web page, and the web site is not fully functional. Also, the search@
address was supposed to be only for the paying customers although it
appears to be working. I wouldn't get to fond of it because when this
site is fully operational again, I'd bet this ceases to work.

Hello ACCMail ...

Follow-up to my message last week ...

Great - there are now enough interested people to make it
worthwhile, so here are the details ...

I have sent up a short-term mailing list called
'website-by-email'. It will be a step-by-step tutorial
covering all aspects of setting up an Internet presence
using email-only methods. People joining the list will
follow the steps, and report back on any problems they
find. Then the rest of the list will help them out (if
they can). When we have finished, the list will also
finish -- but by then there will be multiple copies of
the tutorial material all over the world, so it should
always be easy to find it somewhere.

Archiving has already begn at
http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/

We will start off with InternetTrash.com, and hopefully
also cover important topics such as remote-hosted cgi
resources, interaction with visitors, search engines,
using GetWeb to sign up for web services, etc.

If you are interested in using email-only methods to
create a WWW site, please join in. Help to create the
resource you need.

It is all quite easy, once basic principles have been
explained, so even allowing for the fairly leisurely
pace which I prefer, the project should be complete in a
few weeks.

Sun Zoom Spark, having a penchant for grandiose schemes,
now invites the entire 2800 members of ACCMail to send
an email to

      [EMAIL PROTECTED]

Thanks ...

Well, I'm now coming around to being agreeable to using www4mail
servers for this. However, I still think the getweb method is better.

Yes, the ww4mail mailers do indeed handle forms -- but not those sites
that require "cookies"...

Don't know anything about the list because I don't receive it. I did,
however, look at the web page and they don't mention anything about it
not working. They have the signup via a form. There also is this note:

"The individual announcements which appear in this digest are also
posted to Usenet newsgroups comp.archives.msdos.announce
and/or comp.archives.ms-windows.announce. To reduce
the load on your host's mail system you may wish to read
the newsgroups rather than subscribe to this mailing list."

I've downloaded the jpeg, gif viewer called 2show for DOS
and would like to get a registered copy but the file that
has this information from the zip file is not a text file so
I'm unable to read it.
Does anyone know who to contact to get a registered copy of
the DOS 2show viewer?
This viewer works well on an IBM PC Compatible.

You can get MS-DOS binaries of the necessary utilities.

I think there are versions of the latest gzip (needed for the .gz) that
may include the untar (needed for the .tar). Dos versions of the .tar.gz
tend to be named .tgz

For source code, in C/C++, look in the GNU archives.

simtelnet/msdos/ is always a good place to start looking.

Ah, yes: simtelnet/msdos/arcers/untgz095.zip B 163195 970226
        UNTGZ v0.95: Fast & easy tar/tgz/gz extractor

That should do it!
