A tip for for www4mail users who uses Netscape Messenger.. if the mailer is not
offline (which is generally the case) the message sent back to the www4mail is
not kept inside any Netscape folder. The message is saved in C:\TEMP ( I'm
talking about Windows, I don't know about Linux or other *nix versions ) as
nsformXX.TMP (where XX is some unique string of two char). So by opening the
nsformXX.TMP thru notepad or any ascii text viewer you can have a look on your
message. But it's pretty difficult to distinguish the messages from the
filename. So you have to have some way to manage these files.

Gidday all,
I keep getting the following message sent to me (this is the second). It
happened after I posted a message to a mailing list.
Perhaps I should send this message to the Chess-l list itself?

VNM3042 -- NAME NOT FOUND
Mail cannot deliver the message for one of the
following reasons: the appropriate StreetTalk is not
available; the recipient's user name was deleted; the
recipient's name was not entered correctly. Verify
the accuracy of the name entered. If the name you
entered is a user name, check to see if the user was
deleted. If the name is correct and the user exists,
check the connections between the recipient and
the sender.
You may see this error if you send a message to a list,
but one of the names on the list is incorrect or invalid.
Anytime a user is deleted, that user name must be
removed from all lists that contain the name.

I have downloaded the zip file and find it useful - thank you William C
Andrews. However, in the service file for sending Anonymous Email one of
the remailers (I have yet to try all of them) does not seem to be working
- for example:
When you send it to:
<<[EMAIL PROTECTED]>, <<[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
you get this:
> ----- The following addresses had permanent fatal errors -----
><<[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
>
> ----- Transcript of session follows -----
>550 <<[EMAIL PROTECTED]>... Host unknown (Name server:
huge.cajones.com: host not found)
>
Similarly, if you send it to <<[EMAIL PROTECTED]> you once again
get an error message:-
>>>>
<excerpt> ----- The following addresses had permanent fatal errors
-----
<<[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
----- Transcript of session follows -----
550 <<[EMAIL PROTECTED]>... Host unknown (Name server:
remailer.nl.com: host not found)
</excerpt><<<<<<<<
Maybe William C Andrews or someone knowledgeable about these things would
be kind enough to check this out and help in modifying the service
file.
Also, is <<[EMAIL PROTECTED]> a separate anon. remailer? It
gets added automatically on when you try the <<[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
option.
Thanks!

Subject: A wireworm no longer...
Folks,
An object lesson to people in this situation - my forwarding address from
the wireworm.com forwarding service was suddenly invalidated, and try as I
might, I could not get the forwarding robot, or for that matter Herr
Alexander Klink himself, to respond to my pleas for updating the forwarding
database. I was left with the task of manually unsubscribing and
resubscribing to all my mailing lists and notification services...
I did try to contact [EMAIL PROTECTED] as well as [EMAIL PROTECTED] without
any response.
I am now using the free Yahoo! forwarding service which I hope will be more
manageable! Of course, unlike the wireworm service, Yahoo! mail cannot be
managed by email, but I'm willing to put up with the occassional hassle of
internet access for modifying my settings.
Pity, because I rather liked the 'wireworm' address (quite apt, I think) -
much more than Yahoo (ugh!)

Sriram N. A.
P.S: Yahoo has now a new service in place for storing upto 10MB of files
and pictures on the Yahoo servers. One can create folders and set access
permissions to private / public / or listed Yahoo subscribers only. URLs
pointing to individual files can then be given out. (Yes, web-only).

Yes, the owner needs to remove the subscriber that is causing the
problems. This happens on many mailing lists when the subscriber
forgets to remove themself from a mailing list either do to loss of
access or a change in address.

My experiences with Outlook Express 5.0 Attachments:
Attachments are indicated with a "paper clip" symbol. You double click
on the paper clip and that opens another Window that has the attachment
file listed in the Attach: line. You can then click on that to open it
or do whatever you want depending upon the type of
attachment.

1- Any easy forwarding service?. It must not make to much questions and if
country is asked, Cuba must be in the list.
2- ----- The following addresses had permanent fatal errors -----
<[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
Is that true? Any similar searching engine?
