Hello

My ISP provides off-line news-server for usenets, but some of the
interesting conferences are absent there.
Are there free off-line news-servers with wide range of conferences?

Sincerely yours,

Subject: problem with [EMAIL PROTECTED]

I have a problem with the [EMAIL PROTECTED] server. The
reponses are in HTML format, but my browser, Netscape Communicator 4.51,
doesn't recognize the format and in Messenger the attach files appear in
text format :-( .

A solution is to save the response in a file and to load the file in
Netscape, but this is not very convenient...

I don't have any problem with [EMAIL PROTECTED] server.

Thank you for your help.

You will need to use an ftpmail server that allows splitting and
retrieving by parts. Or you can use a www4mail server and use the split
command -- but you must be fast and retrieve soem of the parts before
www4mail delivers them all.

For how to use ftpmail by parts, see the section "FTPmail by Parts" in:
http://www.geocities.com/CapitolHill/1236/howto1.html

www4mail says this:
All binary files larger than 300kB and smaller than 6 MB will
automatically get split into smaller chunks of 300kB each and are sent
 as a MIME BASE64 attachment.

However, you can change the split size by using:
GETSIZE xxxxx where xxxx is the size in bytes less than 300000

Dear all,

Only a limited number of sites allow free home page
publishing through email. Other sites offer free home
pages which can be uploaded through browsers and
on-line access to the Internet.

Is it possible to successfully upload homepage files
through www4mail modified HTML attachments?

Subject: Search Engines by Email Not Appropriate for Business Finders

Dear all,

I am an email user whose job success is related to
" the cracking of search engines " because I have
marketing contracts with the local tour operators
and I need strong public relations with tourism based
job people in each country, among them tour operators,
tour leaders, travel agents, and tourism experts.

Having in mind that there should be web pages with
such lists of names and addresses published by tourism
organizations of each country, I tried Webcrawler and
Altavista with the recommended syntax by Mr. G. Boyd
without any or little success. I also tried infospace which
was a failure and L-soft tourism mailing lists in which the
number of tourism engaged people was limited.

I am desperately in need of tourism information available
through email and I really appreciate any suggestion to
help me find my dear tourism colleagues around the world.
Yours faithfully,
Kamran afham

So if I want to find a word, to complete a crossword for example.
Can I use '?' also? e.g ba?k giving bank, bark, bask etc.

Do you replace searchform with the word

i.e http://ukdb.web.aol.com/plweb-cgi/fastweb?ba?k+view8
what is view8?

It may become tedious testing it via e-mail!

This could be handy for crossword fanatics :-)

Chris.

Nope. The two sites (AngelFire, InternetTrash) that do allow uploading
pages, images, etc. by email methods want you to either send the file
in the body of the message or as a MIME attachment.

For both of these, the word help, as the only thing in the body of the
message, should get you the information that you are requesting, or
pointers to that information.

For ANY UNKNOWN server, include the word help as the subject too, just in
case they need that in place of, or in addition to, the body.

Your english is good enough. Likely MUCH better than most of our
russian! Your choice of subject could use some work.

You need to use a server that allows you to get selected parts. I think
our list host has a list of FTP servers that have this feature for
"local" files, with that including mirrors of the most common large
archives. Servers that allow it for non-local files are rare, but most
of them should be available to you, though not to me: They ban all US
addresses.

Geocities is a provider of FREE web space. There are THOUSANDS if not
hundreds of thousands of "root" pages there! The original layout was
.../area_name/number/ but that has been expanded. The idea was for it to
look sort of like street addresses. The area_name parts were intended to
be diecriptive of the type of pages in that area, however due to the
overflow of numbers made available in each area, as well as other
factors, many pages are in what would appear to be the wrong area.

If you start at the root ( www.geocities.com/ ) you should find a link to
a list of areas, and their intended subject areas. These subjects are
too broad to be usefull for most uses. If you do not see this link, try
looking in the new-users or subscribe links. I know I saw it some place!

There also should be a link to a search engine for just geocities pages.
Has that one been broken for accmail use, yet?

Hello friends

Ive following the last discussion about submitting forms. I'm using
IE 3.0, anytime I click "Get Selected Document(s)" in a web page
obtained from www4mail (with tsource command) I get a blank
message in Microsoft Outlook.

Does anyone know the reason?

How to achieve the correct integration between the browser and the
mail program?

I tried to change to Internet Mail in the browser (View -> Options
-> Programs, In this version I can select only between Microsoft -
>Outlook and Internet Mail) and got the same result.

I reinstalled IE. Same results.

Is it posible to combine IE with another mail program. Pegasus
Mail, for example, the one I'm actually using.

If it is imposible, how can I fill and send back forms with Pegasus?

Thank you.

Dermidio P.

Steve Song who runs (or ran) the Unganisha server is a liitle behind on
the work done by Clement Onime at the Trieste site. Clement is always
tuning and improving the www4mail server and is pretty receptive to
comments and requests for improvements. His continued work is then made
available to the other www4mail servers. The Bellanet site is pretty
quick about adding the changes that Clement develops, the Uganisha site
is slower.

To stay on top of what Clement does, you might want to join the
www-email discussion list hosted at w3.org

I think it is a domain ban against juno.com: There were some SPAMmers
that were forging juno addresses. Proper bans of this type are based on
"Received: " headers, not From: , Return-Path: or Reply-To: headers. I
will try from my eqcity.ktb.net address.
