I recomend you FoxMail, because is good, little (<600K), and it works well in
any machine, have a good folders system and many options.

I use FoxMail to access internet by mail because it has a practical preview
window where I see the pages in text format (get format of www4mail)
without open the message and without run a browser.

It also has selective download, with a function named "remote mailbox".

I use de version 2.1 but I have noticied that there is just a new V3.0
I have located it (by archie by mail). The two versions are in:

         http://ftp.isu.edu.tw/internet/E-mail/foxmail/

 Name Last modified Size

fm21eg.zip 18-Oct-1998 06:09 519k

fm30b1.zip 05-May-1999 16:37 594k

00_index.txt 05-May-1999 16:33 1k

fm21eg.txt 02-Jan-1999 03:05 2k

But I could download the v3.0 yet because the host apears down this days.

I have used Pegasus in the past and I have changed to Fox because I feel
beter with it, betwing other things by the preview window.

It also manage several acounts and is freeware !

Try it !

Subject: KFS-Characters instead of Text

Whenever I send a search or rawsearch message to KFS([EMAIL PROTECTED]) I get a
reply having characters only. This does not happen with Agora or Iliad.I am
using OE4.On taking up this problem with KFS, I received this reply"It would
appear that you are using a version of Outlook Express which
does not understand the standard MIME encoding or character set. You can
fix this by upgrading to a more recent (or older) version of Outlook." I
requested someone who is using Internet Mail to send a search request to
KFS([EMAIL PROTECTED]) and he got back the reply with proper text.
My question is why should I get characters only from KFS and not from
Iliad or Agora?Do I need to change my settings in Outlook Express?I have set
up Mime option in Plain text setting. I don't want to upgrade or revert to
earlier version just to take care of this problem. I am quite keen to use
KFS for search and will appreciate help from the list members to solve my
problem.
Thanks

If you look for mailing lists about DIY, you can search this by sending a message to:

[EMAIL PROTECTED]
leave subject blank, and in the body:

help
search DIY

Or, you can visit their web page at: http://www.liszt.com

Here is some parts of help file of [EMAIL PROTECTED]

Liszt is the world's largest directory of e-mail discussion groups
(a.k.a. listserv or mailing lists), available on the web at
www.liszt.com or via this autoresponder address
([EMAIL PROTECTED]). Liszt-by-mail currently responds to these
commands:

    help
    about
    search phrase

where "phrase" is replaced by a search phrase, such as

    search indiana and student
    search perl or vrml
    search "bad art"
    search b*ball or f*ball

You can have one command in the subject line, and/or as many commands
as you want in the first 15 lines of the message--they'll all come
back in the same message, too. Lines that Liszt-by-mail doesn't
understand will be ignored.

An additional command,

    news phrase

searches Liszt's database of over 14,000 newsgroups. Again, replace
"phrase" with a search phrase.

Hope this helps,
Mohammad

--------------------

Hi ACCMailers or Mr. Boyd

Is it possible for me to have an account on any Server that provides
free E-mail accounts (e.g. yahoo.com), and be able to check and send
E-mail thru E-mail access only? Or is it necessary to have Internet
access?

Also, is it possible to request a LARGE file in parts thru a Gopher
server?

I would appreciate it very much for a response.

Thanks.
Victor
