You must have a server running Unix/Linux to install the software. All of these programs (agora, ftpmail, and www4mail) are written in Perl. ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 20 Oct 1999 02:05:44 EDT From: William C Andrews <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Subject: Re: may I use interbot with my netscape messenger? For simple web page retrievals I do it by hand. But for more complex things or things that I don't want to have to remember I use it all the time, like for searches. If Netscape Messenger uses standard commands to cut, paste, etc. you can use it by configuring to use the general purpose 'driver'. -- William Andrews [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://www.geocities.com/CapeCanaveral/Runway/3091/ Reduce-Reuse-Recycle Shun including the entire text in replies. ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 20 Oct 1999 14:29:03 +0530 From: No Name <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Subject: ftp search hi accmailers, how can i perform an ftp search by email. For instance [EMAIL PROTECTED],agora and getweb servers allow searches.likewise how can the same be implemented for ftp servers. [EMAIL PROTECTED] dropped the ftp search and now advises you to use ftpmail. The easiest way to perform ftp searches is to use FTPsearch by email. After finding the file, use ftpmail to retrieve it. I have the project to start a www4mail server, but I am a private not a university, so I think the cost of the dedicated line can be afforded by some advertisement put in the body of the attachement. I don't think email only users would mind a small advertisement at the bottom of a email message as long as they have a place to use for retrieving files and web pages and using search engines. Juno email users have long put up with ads on the desktops. Just having a "free" service is enough for most people to put up with most anything. -- Gerry Boyd -- [EMAIL PROTECTED] ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 20 Oct 1999 05:23:43 -0400 From: azuaje <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Subject: is the page http://www.geocities.com/CapitolHill/1236/servers.htm available?
