When GRUB came up, I hit `e` to go into a configuration setting 2. I went to the bottom of the file and appended `reboot=[x]` 3. Ctrl + X to start the boot process again 4. Once on the login screen, selected shutdown Here are my results when shutting down and changing the GRUB boot config and appending reboot= -w = no go -c = shut it down -h = shut it down -s = no go -g = shut it down -p = shut it down -f = no go I am running GNU GRUB version 2.02~beta3-5. And that setting doesn't seem to stick after each reboot. Does that information tell you anything? Do you need more? I did notice that I would see some things come across on boot. - usb usb1-port1: Cannot enable. Maybe the USB cable is bad? - firmware: failed to load rtl_nic/rt18106e-1.fw (-2) Let me know if you need any more information. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching the assignee of the bug. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Check out the vibrant tech community on one of the world's most engaging tech sites, Slashdot.org! http://sdm.link/slashdot _______________________________________________ acpi-bugzilla mailing list [email protected] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/acpi-bugzilla
