I now get "mptbase: Registered for IOC reset notification" and nothing else regarding mptbase, it then goes ahead with the other drivers. I traced this back in mptbase.c line 6392, not sure if that helps any. Next I did what Bjorn suggested, but the log is very long and I cannot see what it sais anymore. Because I think I'm throwing mud in your eyes without a log of the output, I will try to get a serial cable and come back with the output, but it has to wait until tomorrow, so as to make things easier for everyone.
