------- Additional Comments From [EMAIL PROTECTED] 2007-05-10 01:38 ------- Hello, I can to the conclusion that my Ubuntu development installation was messed up, so I have installed a clean Ubuntu 7.04 with updates. Now I have discovered that Ubuntu uses a different naming convention for the /etc/acpi/events config files: http://folk.ntnu.no/gronslet/blog/2005/06/03/linux-on-dell-x1/ Search for "DBG" and you'll find: [Mon Jun 27 20:46:18 2005] DBG: ignoring conf file /etc/acpi/events/lid.conf Which I discovered was occuring on my new Ubuntu installation. Later on in the blog, it is mentioned: # mv lid.conf lid [Mon Jun 27 20:46:41 2005] DBG: parsing conf file /etc/acpi/events/lid So, I renamed lid.conf to lid and I started getting reliable suspending, every time, on Ubuntu 7.04. The only problem I am seeing is that my Xorg cursor becomes invisible after the first suspend/resume. Restarting Xorg fixes that problem. I can track down that problem separately. So, for Ubuntu, should I submit a bug report asking that they make the needed changes? Where should s3-script live? I will try some more testing with Fedora 7. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by DB2 Express Download DB2 Express C - the FREE version of DB2 express and take control of your XML.
