------- Comment #23 from [EMAIL PROTECTED] 2008-08-28 22:55 ------- Created an attachment (id=17521) --> (http://bugzilla.kernel.org/attachment.cgi?id=17521&action=view) dmesg + patch from comment #12 and comment #17 + DEBUG (In reply to comment #17) > Will you please try the attached debug and do the similar test in comment > #16?(The patch in comment #12 is still needed). This combination does not change anything. I did the followings: - applied patch from comment #12 and comment #17 on a clean 2.6.27-rc4. - enabled the DEBUG option in drivers/acpi/ec.c - compiled the kernel - booted into normal mode with parameters "acpi.debug_layer=0x00090004 acpi.debug_level=0x01f" - stopped acpid - pressed the POWER button two times: event reported through /proc/acpi/event - pressed the LID switch two times: event NOT reported through /proc/acpi/event - unplugged and plugged the AC two times: event NOT reported through /proc/acpi/event - pressed the POWER button again two times: event reported through /proc/acpi/event In this case I can read the temperature sensor quite fast: $ time cat /proc/acpi/thermal_zone/THRM/temperature temperature: 48 C real 0m0.014s user 0m0.000s sys 0m0.004s -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.kernel.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.Net email is sponsored by the Moblin Your Move Developer's challenge Build the coolest Linux based applications with Moblin SDK & win great prizes Grand prize is a trip for two to an Open Source event anywhere in the world http://moblin-contest.org/redirect.php?banner_id=100&url=/ _______________________________________________ acpi-bugzilla mailing list acpi-bugzilla@lists.sourceforge.net https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/acpi-bugzilla
