I tried the patch in comment #73. And it doesn't work. I try to shutdown many
times and I never had a successful shutdown.  

Halting system...
md: stopping all md devices.
sd 0:0:0:0: [sda] Synchronizing SCSI cache
sd 0:0:0:0: [sda] Stopping disk
ACPI: Preparing to enter system sleep state S5
Disabilng non-boot CPUs ..
Breaking affinity for irq 9
Breaking affinity for irq 12
CPU 1 is now offline
SMP alternativs: switching to UP code
CPU1 is donw
Power down.
acpi_power_off_called

And stays there
(I have drivers/acpi/ec.c #define DEBUG uncommented to see that)
