Will you please attach the output of acpidump?
Will you please do the following test on your box?
a. kill the process which is using /proc/acpi/event (using the command of
"lsof /proc/acpi/event" to get the process ID)
b. cat /proc/acpi/event >hotkey_event
c. press the Brightness up/down hotkeys
d. press Ctr+C
After the test, please attach the output of hotkey_event.
