Remember to XXXX-out the UUID and serial numbers. Also, in the future, please tag dmesg output as "text/plain", that makes my job a lot easier :) How does the system behaves in *single user mode* (text console)? Is anything messing with the thinkpad-acpi's hotkey_mask?
