BTW, you can enable the KEY_BRIGHTNESS_<foo> reporting right now, just set the
proper bits on the hotkey_mask AND remap scan codes 0x0F and 0x10 to
KEY_BRIGHTNESS_UP and KEY_BRIGHTNESS_DOWN on the thinkpad-acpi keymap using
some userspace utility.  HAL can do that for you, and likely has already done
so, since distros like to abuse that for on-screen-display.
