Are you saying that this bug is resolved because the user can avoid the hang by booting with "acpi_sleep=nonvs"? That doesn't seem like a great solution to me. I think we need something that works automatically, with no special options. We can't expect users to experience a hang, research it, and figure out an arcane option that works around it.
