Just for the record I'd like to update this report with the kmemleaks which
might be related to this use case too.

The kmemleaks seem to be from USB, so they are most likely unrelated.

The patch has been merged as
cc8e7a3 PNP / ACPI: Use DEVICE_ACPI_HANDLE() for device ACPI handle access
so closing.
