--- Comment #98 from Xavier Hourcade <public....@xapaho.com> 2012-07-02 17:53:34 --- (errata sorry) (In reply to comment #95) > After falling back to linux 3.3.6 (3.3.6-jng5-desktop #1 SMP PREEMPT Tue May > 15 > 16:09:46 UTC 2012 (241577b) x86_64) on May 31, I didn't suffer a single > shutdown in the last 16 days. With 3.4 it did shut down 2 to 4 times a day. Stefan et al, you might want to give another chance to the 3.4 series: kernel-3.4.2-1.fc16.x86_64 (since Jun 20): "so far so good, hope !" That was strictly my first boot of any 3.4 kernel on this hardware: I've been suspending it every day instead of powering off, almost 12 days lies uptime. That's stock kernel from Fedora 16 stable update repositories, I've had all sorts of very heavy loads, and ambient temperature even massively increased in the mean time (which *used* to to make faults more frequent, previously). So, either the issue is fixed for my hardware (no related changelog I could find, thou ?) ...or this could just confirm my "impression" cf. comment * #96 *. Anyway, I'll have to reboot quite a few times this week. If disillusion comes, I will share :) -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.kernel.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
