Hi:
    Does "ACPI: EC: GPE storm detected" take place during changing backlight or
your system is freezed? If not, I think the log is not related with the freeze.
It's better to test this after rebooting machine because the log only take
place once. You can just check whether it exist after the first X org freeze.
