ACPI / watchdog: Prefer iTCO_wdt on Lenovo Z50-70
Could you try this patch instead? So that you have following config options:
CONFIG_WDAT_WDT=y
CONFIG_ITCO_WDT=y
I'm expecting that you should have working RTC and in addition /dev/watchdog
and it properly resets the system if you do:
# echo foo > /dev/watchdog
