I am using A4D on Windows2003 SP1 without any issues
so far. One thing that did cause me to nearly tear my
hair out - involved the Windows Firewall settings.

I have no experience with the "Small Business
Server".. but given the number of components that is
bundled with SBS, I would strongly recommend putting
4D Server on its own server, no matter how lowly.

Currently, we are running 4D+A4D on a 1.4MHz Dual
server with 2GB. Users are delighted with A4D's
performance, and we have 30-40 Client users online,
with 15 users coming in through Terminal Services.

I think it's time for you and your client to rethink
whether one server is sufficient to run File Services,
Print Services, SQL Server, IIS, HTTP Proxy, and
more.. AND an intensive 4D Server application.
