( A bit of a disclaimer: I'm not doing A4d development at the moment so the
ideas I have could be out of date.)

I think Active4D used to run the "On Application Startup" method on the
initialisation of the plugin, that is before even the 4D On Startup. Could
there have been on error in this method? Perhaps creating arrays that are
too large? That sort of thing.
