Unlikely to be the problem but worth a try. Check that you have got
"block pop up windows" un-ticked. If not un-tick it and try again.

May be worth doing the normal first aid things like running Repair
Privileges in Disk Utility and then doing a full restart.
Could it be a memory problem? Safari does have some memory leaks?
Are you seeing Safari time out? You can use a number of utilities
to increase the time out time. It may help...
