I did have Active4D.bundle in the Mac4DX folder. Our application worked except that Active 4D timed out.

Then I moved the plugins to the Plugins folder in <app>/Contents/ Plugins. The application worked except that Active 4D timed out.

I have also tried our OEM key in the other places indicated in the Reference manu. But still Active 4D times out.

For an application built for the Mac using the 4D Runtime Volume License, where does the Active4D.OEM.key file reside?

I have tried the following places, as specified in the Active 4D Reference Manual (Installation | Key Files):
        4D Folder
        Active4D.bundle/Contents/Resources
        same folder as Active4D.bundle (Mac4DX)
        same folder as <appName>.app

Wait...you say above the Active4D.bundle is in Mac4DX. That is incorrect. The Active4D.bundle must be in the Plugins folder at the same level as the database.
