I used 'dump license info' to discover the key file I had in the
application was version 3.0. I moved the 4.0 key file into...
<user>/Library/Application Support/4D/<key>
...and now everything works correctly.
Sorry about the confusion.
I did have Active4D.bundle in the Mac4DX folder. Our application
worked except that Active 4D timed out.
Then I moved the plugins to the Plugins folder in <app>/Contents/
Plugins. The application worked except that Active 4D timed out.
I have also tried our OEM key in the other places indicated in the
Reference manu. But still Active 4D times out.
When you build a runtime application on Mac OS X, assuming you
correctly merged Active4D with your app, the key file goes here:
<app>/Contents/Plugins/Active4D.bundle/Contents/Resources/<key>
