We're using 4D server 2004.4 on a dualG5 Mac running 10.3.9, A4D 4.0

Suddenly we're having time out issues with A4D on a server that has
run without issue for about 6 months.

The first time this happened was about 1 month ago when the IT team
enabled a second interface on the server. 4D was configured to listen
on all available IPs and therefore A4D timed out. So we changed the
IP to the one we needed in 4D, tied to the license, and restarted. It
worked.

Now, a month later, the IT team restarted the server last night, I do
not know why. They claim no changes were made to the network
interfaces or the machine's software. Our search on the machine
bears this claim. The 4D prefs were all still set, the EN interfaces
the same, in the same order, the A4D license in the same place:
<app>/PlugIns/Active4D.bundle/Contents/Resources/<file>. Showing the
A4D preferences window, from the A4D library, shows the license is
active and expires on 12/1/2006 (that is just for support, correct?).

But, A4D timed out, I assume 8 hours after it was restarted. Is there
some thing that is not accounted for when using multiple interfaces
and a license file that is tied to one? Any place we can look for a
solution?

At any given time, they have ~30 users on the system in 4D Client.
They do not like disconnecting in order to restart...

Please help, thanks.

Thanks,

Michael Check
