I have previously seen the behavior only when there are two copies of
the plugin running somehow. Could you please give your complete
configuration/environment info?

Sure.
Dual 2GHz G5, 1Gmem, 10.3.9, IP 192.168.1.4
4D server/client, 2004.4, 30 users, avg 80% usage
A4D 4.0.2 running in plugins folder, license in
.bundle/Contents/Resources/Active4D.192.168.1.4.key
4 sites running through port 80, redirected from 4D's webserver,
accessed with the virtual hosts file
There are 2 en interfaces on the server, .4 and .14, 4D is set to run on .4

What other information do you need? I could send configuration files
if it would help.

I have checked for a way thay another copy of A4D could be running,
and it is just not possible. There is no other instance of 4D, 4D
databases, or plugins, or duplicated plugins anywhere on that server.

My guess is that it has something to do with 4D and multiple en
interfaces. Though it is set for the correct one in 4D prefs, is it
possible on restart that all IPs are used, at first, even for a
second? And A4D gets confused?

How does A4D determine what IP address it is running on? Through the 4D Prefs?

If you left the 4D webserver IP setting at All Available, would A4D
work as long as all license files were in the bundle? Or would it get
confused?

Do you have a recommended way to check the licensing of the server,
perhaps on restart, so we can alert administrators that something is
amiss? It is better tha way than for the customers to find it our
after 8 hours :)

Thanks,

Michael Check
