I don't know if you saw my other message, but it it possible there is a bug in "abandon session"?

Are you using TextMate and possibly mounting the changing files using AFP? I had this problem in 4.0.2. TextMate creates hidden files to keep up with something. See Mantis for a bug report - 0000811. Active4D would try to read files like .xxx_mylib.a4l and it would crash housekeeper. No housekeeper, no session management.

I spent a long weekend tracking this down with Aparajita with a debug version. I though he fixed it in 4.0.2 but my version reports 4.0.3 - it may of been just a version he sent me to test the fix. Alternatively you can go in with a terminal shell and delete the hidden files.

I didn't read the entire thread, but it just brought back memories of that weekend.

Steve,

Thanks for the response, but no I'm not using Textmate or AFP. The server is a Mac but I mostly develop on Windows using Dreamweaver and/or UltraEdit. It appears that the problem is actually WebSTAR. We use it as a proxy to Active4D. Tests using Apache don't exhibit the same problem. I will be look at the directories with the terminal though to see if there are any hidden files.

best,

Brad Perkins
