Hi All
We have an Active 4D based web server running under 4D Client 2004.5
where static images are served from a folder on another 4D Client
running 4D Web Server. (i.e. the images are simply served statically
by 4D Web Server).
Under high loads the browser drops some or all of the images and a
couple of refreshes are needed to get everything to appear. There's
no long timeout, the page just appears (albeit after a slightly
longer than usual response period) and drops a lot of the images.
It's most pronounced in Safari but happens in other browsers as well.
Anyone have any ideas about this ? Is it simply overload on the image
server ? I don't think we have a maximum connections level set but I
can't check at the moment as I'm in another country from where the
server is. The web cache is active on 4D Web Server.
Environment:
4D Client Web Servers 2004.5
Windows Server 2003
Active 4D 4.02 (Although this is'nt used for the image serving)
Best Regards
Peter
