Could you explain this setup a little more in detail?
No problem -
The primary web server runs on 4D Client (let's say, running on
Workstation Nº 1).
On another machine (Workstation Nº 2), there is another 4D Client
running the same application, connected to the same 4D Server. It has
a different IP address, of course, and both Workstation Nº 1 and
Workstation Nº 2 are public IP addresses.
When the primary web server serves a page, all the image URL's in
that page point to the IP address on Workstation Nº 2 which houses a
folder containing the images for the Workstation Nº 1 site. This
folder is located in Workstation Nº 2's 'WebDecoy' folder so that
they are served directly without being passed to the Active4D
handlers running on that Workstation.
The reason we use Workstation Nº 2 to serve the images is because,
although it hosts another site, it's almost idle, whereas Workstation
Nº 1 is always busy.
Feel free to delve deeper if I haven't explained anything adequately.
Peter
