So I'm starting another fusebox app (for what seems like the millionth
time) and I'm getting frustrated not having a a more defined framework
that does a lot of rudimentary stuff for me. Setting up the database,
creating login, list, detail, add views. Creating admin backends. My
neighbors are Rails, Cake and Symfony, and I'm looking jealously over
the fence.

There are a great many timesavers we have developed over the last
couple of years, but we just don't have the time to put into creating
the coventions into place for using 4D and A4D. And with 4D, you
still have to create all the db tables and fields manually, right?
Yes, we've created some template dbs, and I know we can create copies
of the circuits, but there is always a lot of hand coding just to get
started.

So in my struggle to find time for _anything_ more that what is
already on my plate, I'm suggesting to create a community repository
of files to begin a fusebox application shell in the fashion of RoR or
symfony.

Is this something interesting to you? How do you all start new fb apps now?

Of course, knowing that Aparajita turned my world upside down (for the
better!) with fusebox several years ago, I wonder what he will have in
store for us with v5. An MVC framework and shell, integrating ajax
helpers and a full admin back-end?!? Excellent!
