OK, If you create a new profile for FF3 you can store the different
FF3-compatible extensions there. I don't have time to pursue this
further, but there appear to be some limitations:
* You can't run FF2 and FF3 at the same time.
* You will need to set Firefox to ask for which profile at startup.
Maybe there is a way to permanently map one profile to FF2 and another
to FF3.
