That would only allow me to run Windows Firefox in a Mac. It wouldn't solve the problem of running both browsers in the same session. The utility Aparajita suggested wouldn't be applicable under virtualization anyway. Granted I could run different VMs for each browser instance, but I could do that under Windows with VMWare. If I really need to run FF2/FF3 or IE6/IE7 side-by-side on a regular basis, I might just have to go that way.

Also as an update to what I noted yesterday re Mozilla, I discovered you can create shortcuts for FF2 and FF3 and specify the profile as shown below. You'll need to turn off the "Ask at Startup" (or whatever its called) option in the Profile Manage for this to work though.

"C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox 2\firefox.exe" -P Firefox2 -no-remote

"C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox 3\firefox.exe" -P Firefox2 -no-remote

This allowed me to run FF2 and FF3 side-by-side with some success. I did note a problem when another application opened a URL via the "default browser".
