On the other hand, if you're rolling out AD, you'll have to do the majority
of work (i.e the ADC) anyway.
If you upgrade to Exch2k as well you'll be able to use a ADUAC to do all of
the user management without worrying
about what's replicated between the directories and when...
I'd imagine the decision would be influenced by how long you anticipate
remaining in a mixed mode AD. Exchange 2000 really
need to be back by a native mode AD (or at least 1 domain in the forest) to
get full functionality.
