we are integrating MS products with third party
products. all of these products ends up writing things
to the AD.

so ... for example ....

if a product creates some item in the AD that may be
in conflict with some other aspect of our system, i
would like to prevent that action from occuring
instead of being notified post-event and have to
develop some sort of cleanup mechanism
