Title: domain name

Yes, but that is a different question than what you asked, unless I didn't understand your question.   There are many reasons that you want to have your AD namespace separate from your internet domain, but just because you read it somewhere isn't one of them.  However, analyzing your business needs and determining that you need to separate your internet domain from your AD domain would be a valid reason.  There are plenty of companies that have the same internet domain name and AD domain name.  Time to bone up on AD design best practices, I think.

There is no reason that your AD name cannot be a Fully Qualified Internet domain name.  A lot of consultants would encourage you to use a domain name that you can and will register with InterNIC/ICANN.  This is only touching on the basics though.  There are a lot of other things that you need to take into consideration with your design of your Active Directory.  Does this answer your question though?

helo evr,
Are there any arguments why the FQDN for AD should not to be name space in Internet such domain.com or domain.net, but domain.local or domain.intra ?
