I would try logging into the server as the local admin on that server. The other thing to look for is to drill down to the profile on the %systemroot% drive and take ownership of it. I've seen profiles "lose" permissions for no apparent reason.
I just had this happen a few days ago myself, and going in as the local admin on the server in question is what did it. Adam Adam -----Original Message----- From: Thommes, Michael M. The problem is that I seem to have a corrupt (or locked or ???) profile for one of my admin accounts on one of my domain controllers. The logoff process takes forever and generates an EventID 1000 (Userenv) with the following message: Windows cannot unload your registry file. If you have a roaming profile, your settings are not replicated. Contact your administrator. DETAIL - Access is denied. , Build number ((2195)). The profile cannot be deleted ("delete"option is grayed out) when logged in with the default administrator account. Three other dc's in the same domain do not exhibit this problem with this account. The sparse Technet articles that I have found indicate that a service might be running with the account in question and thus the profile for that account cannot be deleted; this does not seem to be the case. No files of this account appear to be locked. The account in question does not have a roaming profile. I've tried "delprof.exe" from the resource kit but it only lets me delete profiles that I could through the My Computer/Properties/User Profiles GUI. I think my long logoff times would be eliminated if I could get rid of that profile. Any thoughts are appreciated! Thanks.
