Unix DNS running on BIND 8.2.1. or higher could do the job, however!!! ...
this will not give you secure updates! I consider this to be a big pro of MS
DNS. The new application directory partitions in W2003 AD gives you another
advantage that you can automagically replicate all AD integrated DNS zones
to eiter:
- All DNS servers in your forest (make sure to choose this option for the
_msdcs zone of your forest root when you decide to implement MS DNS).
- All DNS servers in a domain.
- All DCs (old W2000 behaviour).

Cheers!

Subject: [ActiveDir] Bind or Microsoft DNS

Hi, we are planning the upgrade from NT to Win2k 2003. Currently we use
Unix DNS, the question is should I keep it just make sure it supports
NDR records or replace it with Microsoft DNS.

Any pros and cons?

Thanks,
Juan
